Seminar Introduction

Wang Chunchen:Mixed growth is a new area of global contemporary art. This topic is also the third literature exhibition just launched by today art museum. It is also called mixed growth, which is very interesting to read in English. It is called Bric. I don't know what it means at the beginning. The prefix is short for brics:Brazil, Russia, India, China, as we all know the brics is more popular in the past several years of economic terminology is countries in economic backwardness, the proportion of the world more and more important, this is known as the four bric countries, the pattern of the four bric countries brought about by the globalization of the change, is also the time to face the challenge of today, or respond to a face, for China, of course, may everyone will say China is already the world's second largest economy, but for this matter, we have no feeling, no real said, the second is what mean? Is it really the second largest? or not,But one thing we do have is a real sense of this change in China, this change in the frequency and nature of China's engagement with the market.I think all this brings new opportunities, challenges and even new problems. So I have in my hand a book that I bought a while ago, the unbounded island. I didn't notice who the author was at first. Then I looked at Cuba, the founder of the Cuban biennale.Huang du said please a curator in Cuba, I am very enjoy this book, in several classes is recommended, recommended by the reason that is to say, the author is called moss, he is from Cuba, Cuba speaking or called socialist note from today, and China is a friendly country, in the past also belong to the socialist camp east, if we speak the background of globalization. He and we have a common social structure and social context of a writer founded the biennale, I've been to hava la biennale why earlier than other countries, was in the 80 s, 80 s, China will give a biennale inconceivable, that is to say, the curators, art historians, critics, they in the face of the United States and Europe and the United States set up under the cultural atmosphere of the biennial exhibition, I to understand that what is the purpose of, and Havana's international influence is very big, I have literature also spoke about the biennale, actually it is also a response to diversity, much culture and immigration all racial problems, Today, this problem is also facing us. The urgency of this problem is before us. Today's theme is also around such an exhibition and the changes of globalization.

Gao peng:First is talking about the Chinese artist, second invited international artists to join, but the 3rd is held in 2013, but for some reason stopped down, the third is particularly want to do the Cuban Hispanic BBS, because big wave in the world are talking after India and contemporary art, is discussed in Brazil, Cuba, and Latin America, because is considering international, because through the first second, just want to and all art session to discuss, is based on the element, yellow Benedict teacher invited a Latin American background curators to participate in the discussion, because of the recommendation, Pattern in the event of a change of the world, people care about the topic is changing, so we produced today, you will find that there are three topics, is French, Chinese, French, known as Bric, the exhibition is divided into four units, in the name of the first unit is one of my favorite names, mixed growth, my own understanding, in this world there have been a very big change, before actually already from the internationalization of the internationalization of regional into a new ethnic group, and not just because of regional differences, but let's be generic international, from country to country May be you today from Cuba, Spain, and even from China and the United States, and because of a certain things became a nation, we might be a fan of luxury goods, we will become a people of one country, apple let us become fans, because of the Internet and the development of economy, the country's borders and globalization theory and in the five years ago three years ago, and understanding the point of view of all different, based on a new idea to literature produced today show another topic, known as another choice. Another thing I want to introduce is that there is a big difference between this year's documenta, because today's art museum is called today's literature, which is a contradictory word. How to discuss literature today? This is two curators a big idea, also is the age of two curators and curators to willing to make at this stage, they gave up to curators, and to discuss the text of the game, the relationship between curators and artists also before most of the time is more than artists, curators fame or on the contrary, each other back and forth on the see-saw, so we're on the international perspective, so that they are present as curator of the text, so the idea of sent the pushed to the front of the whole, for a while in the process of discussion, I believe that many of the teachers and students here both interested in art and countermeasures show interest, Today is a very rare opportunity to discuss with two senior curators, so my share of this part is like this.

Heraldo moskra:In fact, not long ago, our world is completely different, but because of the rapid progress of technology, it has greatly overturned our lives, changed the way we communicate, changed the way we receive information, but also changed our way of life. Also because we are experiencing an unprecedented phenomenon, especially for developing countries, or what we call the third world countries, so now is undergoing rapid change, rapid transformation, on the one hand is the rapid economic development, and is the development of the market economy rapidly, their culture is more and more inclined to individualism, moreover they also are learning western countries some of the way of life, their country, their society is experiencing high speed the process of modernization, we take China as an example, I think everyone on a much deeper understanding of the Chinese is better than my understanding of China, we have seen, In fact, we can also see some effects brought by economic development in China. For example, we can see that the gap between the rich and the poor is widening, and there are also some inequalities in the society. So just from this level, we are able to see the effects of modernization to the society, including, for example, the impact on the traditional culture, including the edge of the city, especially the impact and influence in the countryside, we see more and more city has been on the rise, more and more people now live in cities, rather than in the countryside, people of the whole face is accelerating the pace of life, and we also see this process is irreversible, there will be more and more people moved to the city to live, and live in the city of more people than in the rural population, urbanization process is very fast, At the same time we also see, in the middle of the city also has some not so pleasant phenomenon, people's living environment is bad for example, the rise of some slums, we see in South America, in the place such as Sao Paulo, has a lot of slums, because of people living in the cities, there is no way to support their life, they have a large number of population flowing into cities, so must therefore to adjust their way of life, they must also be able to change, their traditional culture. In fact, the traditional culture was a very important part of their culture and life, this is very fundamental existence of their culture, so they are now also in the development of the cultural transformation, they began to use to challenge culture, to the real woven into the life of the city and the city's environment, so we can see there are many social, and cultural change, of course, all this will be reflected in our contemporary art, because contemporary art is also an integral part of contemporary art in the awareness of, in the modernization of the whole transition and the problems faced by the process of urbanization, On the one hand, they are disclosing and criticizing these problems, and at the same time, they are also part of them. So as we can see here, this is a very complicated process.

Our this exhibition was held in Beijing, China, so we think this is very interesting, is that we can hold such an exhibition in Beijing, because we are now in many countries, is not only in China, including in other countries are facing the modern transformation, and influence the process of modernization, and in China are also experiencing such a process, so I am very happy, we of this exhibition is not a very boring, it is not a lifeless life exhibition, not only to the arrangement of the exhibits some beautiful, it is more actually, on the one hand is the art, At the same time it reflects the society, so I think artists actually, they are also discussed, have you seen the exhibition of his is the art of language, so we selected the exhibits, on one hand we are given that they can bring very strong visual shock, they implied artistic metaphor and their creativity. Therefore, I strongly recommend you to visit the exhibition in person, to analyze it carefully, to appreciate and think about these exhibits, and to get great pleasure from this exhibition.

Fernando castillo:Thank you for that introduction. Overall, for example, this exhibition explores the many different problems, the exhibition is divided into many levels, different items, there is a different level, because this is an ongoing dialogue, so we are looking forward to see how the next exhibition, very much looking forward to, because there will be a lot of change, so as we work, this month's work, is actually come to the front of the topic for everyone, I think this meeting is especially good, in my own school to give students a talk, the hall we feel not so good, I don't know why, we have no so beautiful, Such a comfortable place to together we chat, discuss some problems, my own university was built in the 1960 s, my own one, we are in that place, but not for students at the beginning, to a horse, you may not understand, we also can't understand why this place is used for a horse, the horse can enter into our space, space to belong to them to control, do not belong to us. In the '70 s, our whole country is ruled by authoritarian, people dare not to have other ideas, so of the buildings, the building of our school there are a lot of hidden bricks, buried very deep, you may not be inside the school around every day to be able to see that this is in fact, we own the building, and its space to present a very special case, it is to start with a certain function, then there will be changes. Mr Huang together with Mr Moss carat in China to create the exhibition, invited me is also the first time to come over, I feel very happy, my own work, and revolves around the horse, I am inspired by the xi 'an terracotta warriors, I think this is a very good theme, to the theme of the literature exhibition together with us, as do the Terra Cotta Warriors is actually made by local craftsmen, we can have a lot of different perspective to look at the work, can regard it as a kind of stationery can also as a whole, and is, for example, Madrid have 2, there are two Paris, Is not like the Terra Cotta Warriors of the whole put together, so this is also the expression of the concept of connection from country to country, you can also say in walk near his house, you will see the store there are some generic works as the Terra Cotta Warriors, probably more than ten 20 dollars can buy something like that, I think of many levels to explore the the things, I also want to explore each of the different level. How old is each item? What kind of culture does it represent? How people interact and the country's regime, all things are we also process will involve some topics of conversation, there is also another aspect is that the modernity of art, for example, the literature how to reflect the modernity of art, how to embody the strength, the society is so rapid growth, there are a lot of economic point of incredible changes happened in these changes in how to realize social peace, this is a difficult thing, very difficult problem. Some of the questions that have been explored over the years, all of the dimensions that I've been thinking about since I was a student. Up to the time when we communicated closely with handicraftsmen and wanted them to make what we wanted, we kept thinking about it. I think so it is very important to take these problems into level, you should also be aware of these problems when he see the exhibition is divided into different levels, this is my work of want, one is the different levels of dialogue, another is different things gave us the impression is also divided into different levels, because this thing is not to come out of the solution, art can only provide tools to us, let us ask questions, and found the problem, in a view, art is just to provide us with a personal perspective, this is a time when I made the so-called idea.

Lucas:Very thank Mr Huang is introduced, also very thank you and Mr Moss carat came here together, also very happy to see beautiful courtyard, my friends, I myself as an artist, is very interested in China, because a lot of changes have taken place in China, so my own work, have actually, when I get the invitation, in fact this work has been finished, so I didn't, according to the invitation to create the question so we may more like why chose this work to the exhibition this time, this a the beginning of my creation, because as an artist, the artist, we will create a lot of images, Now the world is full of images, people are surrounded by images, so there are a lot of information from the camera, everybody is some of them are students have some colleagues, we will be very attention to the pictures come out to the public after the process, and how the public to accept him, how to please before we made our audience, so this thing is actually a little bit far away from our heart, also said just now, we belong to different countries, for example we belong to the apple in this country, because we are apple fans, of course, we also know a lot about this item, so we take the example of apple, May your relationship with this item is very close to, but you didn't realize that he will affect your behavior, we are creating a new identity based virtual, this product is all over the world, when taking pictures, we are also in the use of media, through the media to take advantage of this information, to introduce some of their ideas to the public, introduce to you, let them to think about, so this kind of technology, my concern is that this work some of them are very common things, for example a cardboard box where you can find, some can be used to install a luxury, we like things, Oriental very tend to be accurate, but in Spain, my work is done in Spain, in many ways is very different with China, for example, how to care about our for accurate, I found a very interesting things to yourself and come here after, realized that all of these products, is to promote by westerners in China, so the whole idea is the same, I found the products of the west, while in the east is east, but at the time of propaganda or western perspective, so we need a desire to own better understand, We should connect our own ideas with our own identity to create a common identity, so this is a question worth thinking about.
