Making a general survey of his oil painting works in recent years, even those earlier printmaking  works, will easily find his special or extreme preference to some elements. The roots of these elements are in his life experience, individual inner experience and distinct aesthetic tastes. They are also in his stubbornly reflection on the issue of "exist” and ceaselessly questioning the dialectical relationship between the history and the reality. Through looking back, and excavating traces of life, he expected to translate those instinct experience and imagination into the exploration of the universality and regular pattern of the objective world. He tried to uncover what we really want, but was incapable of giving clear answers. These contradictions entangling with each other constitute the conflicts on the issue of exist in his works. This brings about the necessity and specialty of his works as well.
