On November 24, 2018, the first "International Museum Youth Forum", co-organized by the Chinese Museums Association, the International Council of Museums and the Fuzhou Municipal People's Government, closed at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference Center. Guan Qiang, Deputy Director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, Suay Aksoy, Chairman of the International Council of Museums and other guests attended the closing ceremony. "The Future of Museum Youth and Traditional Culture" sub-forum attracted 14 young museum representatives from different countries and regions. The issues of sub-forum were around the common growth of young people and museums, the inheritance of traditional culture by the youth and the future development direction of museum, etc. Many speakers said that there was a trend that museum workers get younger and younger, museums are the places for young people to learn and grow, and the development of museums relies on the participation of more young people.

"New Cultural Image of Museums in the Digital Age" sub-forum drew 18 young representatives from global museums and related industries to participated in. Speakers shared their experiences and thoughts on social education, exhibition design, management practice and social communication, etc. digital construction of museums in recent years in the fields of. Digitization is a tool, not an ultimate goal.

"Young Museum Workers and Sustainable Development of Regional Culture" attracted 27 young Museum representatives from different countries and regions to participated in. Speakers discussed how museums can promote sustainable development of regional culture and better link with communities.
