The China Education Symposium Annual Conference is held in May.The theme of the Conference is to discuss issues related to the education in China. As China has unequivocally developed its economic prowess in recent decades, its education has not kept up.Major issues in education are becoming more than ever sources of disenchantment and dissatisfaction. The theme of the 2013 China Education Symposium Conference was China’s Education Reform in the Globalized World. Distinguished guest speakers from academia, government, the non-profit sector and the business world convened in Cambridge for two days to share their insights on China’s education reform in the new age of globalization ,they from Harvard and the Boston area. Past speaker at the China Education Symposium includes former Australian Prime Minster Kevin Rudd, professor William Kirby, Professor Ezra Vogel, Professor Howard Gardner, Professor Reimers, presenters from Teacher for China, Harvard China SEED, and Sunshine Library, etc.

The theme of the 2015 Annual Conference is Reimagine : Better Education for All. Distinguished scholars, policy maker and entrepreneurs will also share their insights from the perspectives of Education Equity, Arts Education, International Education, Education Technology, and Education Policy.
The scene of the Conference

Art Education Panel id the first time for the China Education Symposium to promote a dialogue between China and the world on the role of the arts in education. Topics include:Art Education in higher education in China, how to estabilish the discipline if Art History and Aesthetics and exert its influence in universities in China, the role if museum in colleges and communities, philosophy in art education, etc.

The first “Art Education in China ” panel invited Eugene Wang (Ph.D Harvard, 1997 ) is the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Professor of Asian Art at Harvard University. Xiao dong Liu, Professor in Oil Painting Department at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts. Zuo Yuan, Associatte Professor in Academy of Art & Design at Tsinghua University; Adjunct Professor at Massachusetts College of Arts and Design. Alex Gao: Director  of the Today Art Museum. Zidong Xu, head of Department of Chinese at Lingnan University, Hong Kong to share their rich experience .
