The Historic Opening of the First Comprehensive Exhibition of Azerbaijani Art "Dialogue Through Art" Takes Place in Beijing, May 20, 2026 — İnovation Art and Travel Center and Aydani Art Gallery, in partnership with the prestigious Today Art Museum and under the high diplomatic patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the People's Republic of China, proudly presented a landmark project — the first-ever comprehensive group exhibition of Azerbaijani artists in the Chinese Mainland, titled "Dialogue Through Art".


This exceptional exhibition marks a historic milestone in bilateral cultural relations, offering the Chinese public an unprecedented and comprehensive look into modern and contemporary Azerbaijani art.


At the grand opening ceremony, welcoming remarks were delivered by:

Chinara Mammadova, Director of the Innovation Art and Travel Center;

Bunyad Huseynov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to China;

The exhibition seamlessly brings together over 30 magnificent masterpieces across diverse media, spanning classical oil painting, sculpture, and cutting-edge digital art. Exhibiting a flawless intergenerational synergy, the collection is led by the legendary titan of Azerbaijani graphic arts, People's Artist of Azerbaijan Arif Huseynov. Alongside his academic mastery, a vibrant and multifaceted palette of contemporary national thought and bold innovation is presented by a distinguished roster of artists and sculptors: Anar Yolchiyev, Aydan Mammadova, Ayten Mammadova, Gunel Ravilova, Narmin Pashazade, Arianna Putzu, Khumar Jafarli, Zulfiyya Aslanova, Saadat Baghirzade, Polina Lapteva, Varvara Lapteva, Rasmiyya Valiyeva, Sevil Kerimova, together with brilliant sculptors Tural Rzaguliyev and Farman Gasimov.Azerbaijani art unfolds in a 360-degree panorama, uniting the cultural traditions of nations, the heritage of the past, and a contemporary artistic vision of the future.


The undisputed pinnacle and grand triumph of the opening ceremony was a breathtaking live art performance by the gallery director and artist, Aydan Mammadova. In a spellbinding display of pure creativity lasting a mere 9 minutes, she brought forth a stunning masterpiece right before the eyes of an enchanted audience. This magnificent artwork captured the ultimate aesthetic fusion, where the rich cultural souls of Azerbaijan and China converged into one harmonious visual legacy.


We are deeply honored to announce that this extraordinary piece, created in a single breath of artistic brilliance, has been officially inducted into the prestigious private permanent collection of the Today Art Museum, standing as an eternal testament to the profound cultural bridge uniting our nations.
