Exhibition Preface

The opportune Universe is probably something like a collage artwork - different colors, different textures, from different countries and times, occasionally and also no accidentally overlapping in certain circumstances.
When 30 years ago Li Shuang arrived in France, she was welcomed by French people almost like a famous star and she was given numerous presents. For Li Shuang who just had come to a whole new world, these presents wrapped in colorful gift paper became at that time her only spiritual pillar. During her first two years in France, Li Shuang created a great many paper collages. These more than one hundred collages were incorporating the extraordinary warm welcome she had received from French people.
 30 years later, Li Shuang is bringing back to China the collages as well as her most recent collective performance art. These 30 year old collages are exhibited in the Cultural Center of the French Embassy in Peking. The performance art is taking place on Today Art Museum.
All guests here are like a cell in the quantum world. Just as for thousand years Yang is red and Yin is blue.  Chanting together, let the body relax; let the soul return to simplicity. All participants, accidentally and yet not accidentally, singing, scattering, enjoy to see or not to see the mystery!
