Exhibition Preface

“PLAY” means to pursuit pleasure rather than profits, which is a human instinct.

As long as one grows up struggling for profits “PLAY” becomes dreams and luxuries in life. 

As time goes by, the toys have changed. Many out-dated toys, such as iron hoops, spinning tops, rubber bands, sandbags and other cheap but simple toys ,which we used to dream for, have been capsuled in time. Now, we are in the anime electronic and Internet era. The present children playing method is totally different from the past. On the one hand,we are witnessing the change of play. On the other, we cannot imagine how children play in the future. 

In such a bid world,due to geographical and cultural difference,there are so many different ways of playing.They should all been respected. In this exhibition, with proper education and great care for local culture heritage, the rural children can also equally have a wonderful time even with the most common mud and straw.  

The exhibition is divided into different section for children of different age group. You can discover the difference of playing in the same age group and how the fun of playing is lost as children grow. 

We believe there still a child in all of us. If we can keep it to play in our entire lifetime, our life and world will become much more interesting and wonderful. No matter how the future will be.
