On April 13, 2019, the "Tim yip: the whole view" art exhibition was officially opened in hall 1 of today art museum. This exhibition is an overall display of the artistic path and ideological growth of Tim yip in recent years, covering his past and present unique definitions of the future. As a world-renowned film, stage art director, costume designer and visual artist, he constantly explores and introduces his "new orientalism" aesthetic concept and breaks multiple boundaries in creation.

For the first time, yip has crossed the boundary of science. The exhibition is presented by a series of new media art means, such as video, interactive and immersive installation, and integrates his multi-dimensional discovery and philosophical thinking on time, space and life science into his artistic creation. Starting from his personal artistic experience, he USES the art gallery space to integrate art and science, and constructs a world with "spiritual DNA" between the future and the modern, fantasy and reality, abstraction and concreteness, fiction and daily life.

However, he has feelings for these existence and space beyond the film, which is the source of inspiration for his artistic creation, and thus constructs a different art world for him. This lecture will take you into the "boundless" artistic creation space of Tim yip.

As a world-renowned visual artist, costume designer and film and stage art director, Tim yip constantly practices his "new orientalism" aesthetic concept and interprets the inspiration of ancient culture for the future. In 2001, Tim yip became the first Chinese artist to win the Oscar for best art direction and the bafta for best costume design for crouching tiger, hidden dragon.

Since 2002, yip has held exhibitions in China, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United States and other places. Director of today art museum, studied in central academy of fine arts, university of the arts London successively, obtained bachelor's degree to doctor's degree, and post-doctoral degree in Peking University. As the planning and execution of several domestic and foreign art exhibitions, constantly exploring the operation mechanism of sustainable development of private art museums, and introducing "future museum -- laboratory" into the operation mechanism of art museums, these series of attempts and practices have pioneered the new media field of domestic art museums.
