【Today Art Talk】Come and Leave ——A Talk on Contemporary Ink Art by Artist Wang Tiande

Mainland China in the 80s of the 20th century witness the growing of Experimental Ink Art, marked by the 85 New Wave artists who use ink as a weapon to fight for freedom and spiritual liberation. On the other side, generations of artists continue to reform traditional ink paintings that have made breakthroughs in terms of media, language, content, subject and form. As the earliest artist practiced Experimental Ink Art, Wang Tiande combined Conceptual Art with his ink experiments while retaining the taste and aesthetics of traditional ink art. Thus, he is a progressive reformer rather than an aggressive destructionist. Contemporary ink art has gone through more than 30 winters and summers with people coming and leaving all the time, while Wang Tiande remains.
The 2014 summer is coming, heated by the New Ink Art flush in advance. The exhibition KAI MEN brings in a breath of breeze. Then on 11st May, Today Art Museum welcomes you to a talk on Contemporary Ink Art by Artist Wang Tiande.
