On April 13, 2019, "Tim yip: the whole view" art exhibition opened at today art museum. As an artist, yip has been constantly breaking multiple boundaries in his artistic creation. This exhibition is the first time that yip has crossed the boundary of science and put forward the concept of "spiritual DNA", which is presented by a series of new media artistic means such as video, interactive and immersive installations. Yip kam-tim views all things with infinite eyes instead of restricting them to a certain point. This pursuit of "no boundary" has been throughout his artistic creation, and art presents an infinite mirror image for yip kam-tim.

Lecture information

Mr Yip first introduced the concept of "spiritual DNA" through the "holistic view" exhibition. It serves as a clue to yip's current artistic creation and past works, linking his discovery of memory and exploration of the future. He crossed the boundary of science for the first time and integrated his multi-dimensional discovery and philosophical thinking of time, space and life science into his artistic creation.

In the dialogue, we will discuss how the artist penetrates the external appearance of things, combines philosophy and science on top of the original complexity, and gives multi-dimensional insight and insight into the world.

Tim yip

As a world-renowned visual artist, costume designer and film and stage art director, Tim yip constantly practices his "new orientalism" aesthetic concept and interprets the inspiration of ancient culture for the future. In 2001, Tim yip became the first Chinese artist to win the Oscar for best art direction and the bafta for best costume design for crouching tiger, hidden dragon.

Since 2002, yip has held exhibitions in China, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United States and other places. Alex Gao

Director of today art museum, studied in central academy of fine arts, university of the arts London successively, obtained bachelor's degree to doctor's degree, and post-doctoral degree in Peking University. He has been the deputy manager of cultural landscape of the 29th Olympic organizing committee, the deputy chairman of "friendly China" international association, and the chairman and head of greater China region. As the planning and execution of several domestic and foreign art exhibitions, constantly exploring the operation mechanism of sustainable development of private art museums, and introducing "future museum -- laboratory" into the operation mechanism of art museums, these series of attempts and practices have pioneered the new media field of domestic art museums. In 2015, he was co-chairman of BBS "global outstanding youth" in davos economy and was awarded the title of "global outstanding youth -- artistic emissary".
