Exhibition Preface

First I have to clear the definition of “QI” when i decided to use “QI AND XI” as the theme of the Solo exhibition,assuming it would match my personal understanding.I’ve looked it up in the dictionary for standard definitions, however turns out that i still prefer to imagine it in an Oriental way,more related to the exhibition.
Where the wood is ,there’s home; Where the wife is,There’s home.
Home is where you can experience;Home is where you can quiet down.
Then we can think,Only when we quiet down,
So i define “QI”as “Material”,”XI” as “Spirit”,then realise how important the home is.
The Exhibition attemps to tease out a line from the concept of furniture,its centered with “QI AND XI” among all of  my personal practial and design works by using local language,material language,technique language,western language, aesthetic language,Lao Tse language to reflect current design status of China,meanwhile hopes to connect world of greatness but worldliness from a small point.
