【Today Culture Salon】"Analysis of contemporary theater 's diverse composition --- theater and performance" The content of work: "Environmental: can you breath, today?"

Project is hosted by "ACT Group" of Beijing ONE·International Arts of Performance Festival which presented a series of workshops. They introduced four series firstly. In "Analysis of contemporary theater 's diverse composition," the general direction of the performing arts as the main point, each period selected one kind of the contemporary art forms to coordinated with the performing art form, to complete a topic node in the end. The ultimate goal is to make the participants to know the concept of contemporary theater clearly. Each period includes two parts. The first is the room workshop, the main way to take the exchange, fun to pass the theory and the practical exercises three, to give the themes to be completed in order for the participants to consider before the ending; the second part is the next day outdoors (today Art Museum vicinity), around the theme given the day before, we free play, and will be recorded by image at the same time.
“Green” names the first period of work, to discuss the urban air pollution problems, which are most concerned. The individual citizens as a unit, to express the different point of view about the pollution problems. Theoretically, to combine the performance and behaviour, with the main purpose to make the participants understand the points by the way of dramatic views, the simple physical control, etc.

QIU Jia: From the ESAD (École supérieure des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg), engage in the video, the performance, the installation, the photography and other media creation and also the art criticism. Her works have exhibited in French BESANCON Art Gallery, GALERIE NaMiMa galleries, Pôle Sud Contemporary Dance Theatre Centre, CEAAC Arts Center, DMY Berlin Festival, and Poland LAZNIA Contemporary Art Center.

Beijing ONE International Performing Arts Week Introduction: 

July 19, 2013 First BEIJING ONE • International Arts of Performance Festival officially presented in Beijing. The concept Beijing ONE • International Art of Performance Festival, from the "power of observation" as the launch of the concept, with the "cross-border" form, explore the development and integration of contemporary performing arts, to distinguish the "drama" and the "stage", and to expanded range to the "performance" and the "space", giving a whole new meaning to the contemporary performing arts. Art Week consists of three distinctive parts, which are the "exhibition unit", the "performance units", and the "academic unit" structure, in order to achieve a better interpretation of the concept of contemporary performing arts.

ACT team: 

Activity groups set by the theater, the music, the dance, the art, the installation, the video and the other areas of Beijing ONE·International Arts of Performance Festival, in addition to the main Art Week activities, is still carried out in the ordinary course of discussions, writings, and teaching arts groups.
